Resillient to the core

We believe there's no time for downtime. That's why we've built our resillient network, and take services from upstream providers who do the same.

Diverse Network Connectivity

We colocate at Tier 3+ datacentres in the UK, with resillient connectivity to upstream transit providers and peering (IX) points. Our parent company Flownet Solutions Ltd operates their own ASN and IP space, enabling further control over our connectivity to the wider internet.

Redundant Power and Cooling

Our infrastructure is powered by resillient A + B power sources, both fed via seperate Uninteruptable Power Supplies (UPS), backed by dual diesel generators as backup power provisions. We're kept cool with resillient air conditioning, and kept connected with our multi-homed network transits, ensuring your service is always online.

We're located in a UK Datacentre with IP-based CCTV, perimeter fencing with electronic gate entry and several levels of electronic access control.

Data Security

Utilising the Veeam Cloud Connect platform, Now Restore ensures your data is secure from you to us. Your data is transferred to us over an SSL/TLS tunnel (private circuits are avaliable if required), ensuring data is fully encrypted as it traverses the internet. Your Veeam Backup jobs can have encryption at rest enabled, and for Disaster Recovery (Replication) services, we operate encryption at rest of SAN volumes.

To provide Now Restore and our other lines of business with rock-solid connectivity, we operate a wholly-owned infrastructure, IP address space, and ASN - AS60894. Now Restore can accept customer backup or replication data over the public internet, or via a private circuit. Most customers connect over the public internet, where an SSL/TLS tunnel is built between your infrastructure and the Now Restore Cloud. This ensures fully encrypted communications, meaning your data is safe as it traverses the internet.

However, we're able to offer private circuit connectivity for customers who benefit from it. Private circuits are typically useful for customers with: a) large data change rates that would consume significant internet bandwidth (thus slowing-down other services), or b) customers who would like to control the path between Now Restore's datacentre and their on-premise infrastructure. A private circuit is essentially a point-to-point connection presented to your premises and to our datacentre. Data sent over a private circuit is still encrypted inside an SSL/TLS tunnel - but is kept away from the public internet, meaning your main internet breakout circuit bandwidth can be used elsewhere. If this is of use, then please do contact us - we'd be happy to discuss the options with you.

Yes. When you sign-up, we can provide you with a document containing the firewall entries that are required for our service to operate. Only a few outbound ports are required - we do not require any inbound connectivity to your network. If you need these prior to making a decision, please contact us.

Your data can be stored fully encrypted at rest on Now Restore's infrastructure, if you require. Since Now Restore operate a number of different Cloud-based services, we have provided an FAQ entry on each of our service pages (e.g. Cloud Backup) with how we keep your data secure within that specific platform. Please do contact us if you have any queries on how we will store and safeguard your data.

Yes. We're more than happy to help out if you need assistance with connecting to the Now Restore Cloud - over a screen share or remote control session. We are happy to assist with firewall rule amendments if required. If you require further assistance such as deploying your Veeam environment or Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning, we do offer Professional Services, too. We can also provide documentation on how to connect your environment, if you would prefer to perform this internally.

Yes. If you utilise one of our other services such as Cloud Disaster Recovery, we can colocate your own equipment such as legacy physical systems, firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers / Network Automation equipment within our datacentre for an additional cost. The benefit to this is that your physical equipment will be within the same network as your virtual infrastructure when you invoke Disaster Recovery, therefore improving performance and overall user experience. Equally, you can reduce the costs and complexities of building and maintaining your own Disaster Recovery environment in a colocation space.
